Recipe Note
💡Chef’s Tip (Mr. Hills Ranch)
Elevate your tacos with homemade taco sauce! Mix sour cream and mayonnaise, then add a squeeze of lime juice, a dash of hot sauce, and a pinch of garlic powder. This creamy, tangy sauce adds a rich layer of flavor and ties all the taco elements together. Drizzle it over the shrimp before adding your toppings for a delicious finishing touch.
🔥#MarbleiciousTip:
Add a few slices of jalapeño to your tacos or a drizzle of hot sauce for an extra kick.
Frequently asked questions:
1. How do I know when the shrimp are properly cooked?
Shrimp are done when they turn pink and opaque, usually within 4-5 minutes of cooking. They should be firm and slightly crispy on the edges.
2. How do I keep the tortillas warm while I prepare the rest of the tacos?
Wrap the warmed tortillas sandwiched in a clean kitchen towel to keep them warm and pliable until you’re ready to assemble the tacos.
3. How should I store leftovers?
Store any leftover shrimp and toppings separately in airtight containers in the refrigerator. These should stay fresh for up to 2 days. Reheat the shrimp before serving and warm the tortillas briefly.
